PTFE lined rubber joints are used in chemical pipelines

The PTFE-lined rubber joints has increased the application of chemical pipelines. In the previous rubber joint applications, because of the entry of some corrosive media, the rubber expansion joints often cannot withstand corrosion and the performance of the rubber joints is reduced.

Because rubber, glass, metal aluminum alloy and other materials have shortcomings in corrosion resistance, they cannot meet the natural environment in which harsh temperatures, pressures, and chemical media coexist.

The key application of PTFE-lined joints is in the medium pipes of strong acid, strong alkali and strong high temperature, and its characteristics are better than the general acid-base and alkali-resistant rubber joints.

The characteristic of PTFE is that its ability to bear negative pressure is slightly worse. The cost of PTFE lined joints is relatively low, and it is very easy to be accepted by customers. It can consider the requirements of most customers who need strong acid and alkali resistant rubber joints.

PTFE-lined flexible rubber joints are made of general rubber joints or EPDM super wear-resistant rubber joints with PTFE. PTFE coating, the coating key is milky white, which can maintain rubber reasonably the joints are not corroded by corrosive media such as strong acids, strong bases or high-temperature fuels.

The PTFE coating can reasonably adhere to the inner cavity of the pipeline to avoid being eroded by the medium or caused by the pulling of the pipeline.

The PTFE material is a chemical product with high purity and no residue, which increases the adhesion of the coating and makes the product have excellent corrosion resistance and impact resistance.

The coating is non-toxic, solvent-free, exudate-free, does not affect the medium, and is more suitable for the pharmaceutical industry, beverages, food, brewing and chemical industry, power industry, etc. with high hygiene requirements and its desulfurization industry.

PTFE-lined joints are divided into pressure grades: 0.25MPa, 0.6MPa, 1.0MPa, 1.6MPa, 2.5MPa.

Teflon-lined joint performance characteristics:

1. Small size, light weight, good elasticity, easy installation and maintenance.

2. After installation, it can absorb the horizontal, radial and angular displacement caused by pipeline vibration; it will not be limited by the unevenness of the pipeline and the non-parallel surface of the flange.

3. After installation, it can reduce the noise caused by the vibration of the pipeline water pump, etc., and has strong vibration absorption capacity.
