  Application:

  The stainless steel 316 bellows can be used in a variety of applications and can be used over a range of temperature requirements, pressures and sizes.The metal expansion joint uses the telescopic and offset of its main elastic component bellows to compensate the displacement of the pipeline, with large compensation and good elasticity. The product is suitable for conveying seawater, fresh water, hot and cold water, drinking water, domestic sewage, Crude oil, fuel oil, lubricating oil, refined oil, air, gas and other media.

  Principle of axial movement:

  The standard connector of 316 bellows is welded at the end of fixed flange or loose sleeve flange. The stainless steel 316 bellow is usually equipped with an internal guide tube. This reduces the flow resistance and prevents damage due to direct contact with the flow medium. The stainless steel 316 bellow absorbs a lot of motion. For small nominal diameters, the protective tube prevents mechanical damage during installation and operation. The stainless steel 316 bellow is suitable for internal and external overpressure. The expansion joint allows very large axial movements in the case of internal pressure in the pipe.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. It should be noted that the metal expansion joint does not absorb torque, so it is not allowed to be twisted when installing stainless steel bellows.
2. 2.In addition to the pre-tension or “cold-tight” deformation required by the design, it is strictly prohibited to use bellows deformation method to adjust the deviation of the installation pipeline, so as to avoid affecting the normal function of the metal bellows, otherwise it will reduce its service life and increase the load of the pipeline, equipment and supporting components.
3. The insulation layer should be made on the outer protective jacket of the metal bellows, not directly on the bellows.
4. During installation, no welding slag is allowed to splash on the surface of bellows, causing other mechanical damage to the bellows.
5. The bracket must meet the design requirements. It is strictly prohibited to test the pressure in the pipeline before the bracket is installed in order to avoid pulling it out.
6. All moving parts of the stainless steel 304L metal bellows shall not be caught or restricted by the external components.
