  Application:

  Metal bellows expansion joints are used in a variety of applications and can be used over a range of temperature requirements, pressures and sizes.
  The corrugated compensator uses the telescopic and offset of its main elastic component bellows to compensate the displacement of the pipeline, with large compensation and good elasticity. The product is suitable for conveying seawater, fresh water, hot and cold water, drinking water, domestic sewage, Crude oil, fuel oil, lubricating oil, refined oil, air, gas and other media.

  Principle of axial movement of metal bellows expansion joint :

  The metal bellows expansion joint is considered to be the elongation or compression of the pipe system on its longitudinal axis, which means that the total length of the expansion joint will be extended or compressed during the absorption movement.An axial expansion joint designed to absorb large motions can contain one, two or more bellows in one unit, and can also achieve greater motion by pretensioning or by installing multiple expansion joints on the pipe section.According to the nominal diameter and length,the axial expansion joints can absorb small lateral and angular deviations as well as mounting tolerances. However, we recommend the use of the main function that should limit the axial expansion joint, otherwise its service life may be adversely affected.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. It should be noted that the metal expansion joint does not absorb torque, so it is not allowed to be twisted when installing stainless steel bellows.
2. 2.In addition to the pre-tension or “cold-tight” deformation required by the design, it is strictly prohibited to use bellows deformation method to adjust the deviation of the installation pipeline, so as to avoid affecting the normal function of the metal bellows, otherwise it will reduce its service life and increase the load of the pipeline, equipment and supporting components.
3. The insulation layer should be made on the outer protective jacket of the metal bellows, not directly on the bellows.
4. During installation, no welding slag is allowed to splash on the surface of bellows, causing other mechanical damage to the bellows.
5. The bracket must meet the design requirements. It is strictly prohibited to test the pressure in the pipeline before the bracket is installed in order to avoid pulling it out.
6. All moving parts of the stainless steel 304L metal bellows shall not be caught or restricted by the external components.
