In recent years, with the continuous development of urban central heating in our country, the application of compensators as a key component in the heating pipe network has become more and more extensive. However, if the compensator is improperly applied and arranged in the pipe network, it will cause the entire pipe system to fail destroy, and even lead to vicious accidents.
The bellow expansion joint is more and more widely used in the heating network because of its compact structure, large compensation amount, small flow resistance, zero leakage, no maintenance and many other advantages. But it also has disadvantages that are not easy to solve: for example, the axial type compensator produces a pressure thrust on the fixed bracket, which causes the fixed bracket to have a large thrust, which results in a high cost.
In addition, the compensator has a thinner tube wall that cannot withstand torsion and vibration, and has poor safety. A series of shortcomings such as strict design requirements, high construction and installation accuracy, and often not reaching the expected life.
In view of these shortcomings of the compensator, and because many designers and construction personnel are not fully familiar with the compensator, accidents are prone to occur during construction and operation.
Analyzing the cause of the accident, some accidents are related to the quality of the compensator itself or improper selection of materials, some are construction problems, and a considerable part of it is a design and layout problem.
In the design aspect, most of the problems are caused by not understanding the design characteristics of the corrugated compensator pipe, resulting in calculation errors and unreasonable selection of the compensation pipe system.
